Chamber Highlights | Week Of Jun. 22-26
June 26, 2026
It was another engaging week at the Roseville Area Chamber, with members coming together to connect, collaborate, and strengthen the relationships that make our business community thrive.

The week began Monday as the Membership Team welcomed more than 40 members to the June Women in Business meeting. Attendees participated in a collaborative mastermind session, sharing ideas, experiences, and encouragement while building meaningful connections with fellow professionals.

On Tuesday, the Chamber’s Creative Collab Focus Group gathered for another inspiring meeting, bringing together creative professionals from across the region to exchange ideas, collaborate on projects, and support one another’s work.

Thursday morning, nearly 100 members and guests joined us for our monthly Networking Breakfast at Randy Peters Event Center. The event provided another opportunity for local business leaders to connect, strengthen relationships, and stay engaged with the Chamber community.

Flashing back to last Friday, the Chamber also celebrated an exciting milestone with a special after-hours ribbon cutting for the grand opening of Next Health. It was a wonderful opportunity to welcome the business to the community and celebrate its official opening alongside members, community leaders, and guests.

In addition, we are excited to welcome five new members to the Roseville Area Chamber:
- Summit Fire & Security
- Holmquist Accounting Services
- KohPay Payment Solutions
- Easystumps Tree Services Corp
- Los Reyes Roofing.
We’re grateful to have these businesses join our growing Chamber family and look forward to supporting their continued success.
In advocacy updates, the Chamber is pleased to report that SB 555 (Caballero) has been paused and will not advance during this legislative session. The bill proposed annual adjustments to workers' compensation disability benefit calculations, a change that was projected to increase employer costs and place additional financial pressure on California manufacturers and other employers. The decision to halt the bill provides welcome relief for many businesses concerned about rising operating expenses.

The Chamber is also monitoring updates from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) regarding implementation of California's Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (SB 253). CARB has proposed extending the initial reporting deadline for Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by three months, moving it from August 10 to November 10, 2026. The extension is intended to provide businesses additional time while final regulations complete the state review process and additional guidance is released.
While SB 253 primarily applies to companies with more than $1 billion in annual revenue, many local manufacturers, suppliers, logistics providers, and other businesses may experience indirect impacts as larger customers begin requesting greenhouse gas emissions data to meet their own reporting obligations. Businesses that fall under the law—or that work closely with companies preparing for compliance—are encouraged to use the additional time to review emissions data collection processes and stay informed as CARB releases further regulatory updates.
Looking ahead, the Roseville Area Business Political Action Committee (RABPAC) will host its annual August Fundraiser on August 27 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. in the Garden Room at @the Grounds. The evening will provide an opportunity for members, community leaders, and elected officials to connect in a relaxed setting while supporting the Chamber’s advocacy efforts. Guests will enjoy appetizers, beverages, and meaningful conversations focused on the future of our business community.
The Chamber will also host a Nonpartisan Congressional Candidates Forum for California's District 6 on October 8 at Johnson Hall at @the Grounds from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Ahead of the November General Election, attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from the two candidates appearing on the ballot during a moderated discussion focused on the priorities they see for the district, how they would represent the business community, and the issues they believe will have the greatest impact on our region. The forum will be moderated by Fox40 Evening Anchor Nikki Laurenzo, with equal time provided to both candidates. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available through the Chamber's online event calendar.
