Chamber Highlights | Week Of Aug. 17-21
August 21, 2026
It was another week filled with connection, community, and celebration at the Roseville Area Chamber, highlighted by a successful State of the City event and continued opportunities to support local businesses and strengthen our regional community.
The Membership Team kicked off the week by welcoming more than 30 nonprofit leaders to the Non-Profit Roundtable on Tuesday, hosted by Placer SPCA. Attendees participated in an engaging discussion on fundraising led by Tiffany Loeffler of The Alliance: Defending the Cause of Kids & Families and Meredith Adams of The Gathering Inn, providing an opportunity for nonprofit leaders to share ideas, learn from one another, and strengthen the work they do throughout our community.
On Wednesday, the Chamber welcomed 18 new members during the monthly Chamber Orientation, introducing them to the resources, benefits, and opportunities available through their Chamber membership. We also celebrated two members with ribbon cuttings this week: BrightStart Learning Academy on Tuesday and VEG (Veterinary Emergency Group) ER for Pets on Wednesday.

We are also excited to welcome five new members to the Roseville Area Chamber:
- Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
- Placer Freedom Foundation
- Stormborn Consulting
- Rooftop Macarons, LLC
- Workforce Integrity Partners, LLC
Please join us in giving them a warm Chamber welcome when you see them in the community!
Thursday brought one of the highlights of the week as more than 800 community members, sponsors, and participants gathered at the Placer Valley Soccer Complex for the 2026 State of the City. The morning was a wonderful celebration of community and Roseville pride, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the event such a success.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to Mayor Krista Bernasconi for her years of service, dedication, and leadership to the Roseville community. During her address, Mayor Bernasconi highlighted major economic development throughout the city, exciting projects including Bosch’s work with silicon carbide chip production, and the importance of honoring families and those who have served our country.

Mayor Bernasconi also spoke about Roseville’s quality of life and the City’s commitment to building a thriving community for future generations and people of all abilities. She shared the story of Roseville resident and Sierra College student Noah Whitaker and his resilience over the years, ultimately calling on the community to support him through an upcoming fundraiser to help him obtain a new ADA-accessible van.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make the State of the City morning special, including our VIP Breakfast food and beverage vendors: Fig Tree Cafe, Fourscore, Java City, Pure Green, Randy Peters Catering & Event Center, Rooftop Macarons, The Bean Roasting Co., and Toastique. If you missed the event, be sure to check out the highlights and photo gallery to relive some of the best moments from the morning.
As we continue celebrating Roseville traditions, excitement is building for the 30th Annual SPLASH! on Saturday, September 12, at the Roseville Aquatics Complex. Our social media countdown and throwback photos have been bringing back plenty of memories, and this year’s event will give longtime attendees the chance to reconnect with familiar faces while welcoming a new generation of SPLASH! guests.

SPLASH! brings together great food and beverages, live entertainment, and an evening of community celebration. A portion of the proceeds will provide scholarship opportunities for Roseville’s underserved communities to participate in camps and programs through the City of Roseville’s Parks, Recreation & Libraries Department. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available through the Chamber, and we hope you’ll join us as we celebrate 30 years of SPLASH!

Looking ahead, the Roseville Area Business Political Action Committee (RABPAC) will host its August Fundraiser on Thursday, August 27, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. in the Garden Room at @the Grounds. The evening will bring together business and community leaders for networking, conversation, and support of RABPAC’s efforts to advocate for a strong local business climate. Tickets include two beverages and light bites, with admission available for $100 or $25 for Young Professionals ages 21–40. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for those looking to further support RABPAC’s work.
In advocacy updates, the Roseville Area Chamber, as part of the United Chamber Advocacy Network, is urging businesses and community members to take action in opposition to AB 2564 (Ward). The Chamber’s concerns center on the bill’s potential impact on existing consumer discounts, as well as its relationship to California’s existing privacy framework under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Among the concerns raised are the bill’s potential to restrict a broad range of discounts based on consumer data, create additional consent and disclosure requirements, and introduce ambiguous standards that could make compliance difficult for businesses to navigate. The Chamber is also concerned that enforcement through private legal action and state and local prosecutors could increase litigation exposure and costs for businesses offering long-standing discounts to consumers.
The Chamber supports the goal of ensuring California consumers are treated fairly and without discrimination and looks forward to working with the bill’s author, as it did on last year’s AB 446. At this time, however, the Chamber is asking members to participate in the Action Alert campaign and share their concerns with the Legislature.
