October 30, 2026

It was another week of connecting students with career opportunities, helping businesses strengthen their skills, and bringing our members together! From hands-on career exploration to creative collaboration and networking education, the Roseville Area Chamber continued its work to connect business and strengthen our regional workforce.

We kicked off the week with Roseville High School students getting an inside look at the construction industry through an immersive virtual reality experience at the Roseville Venture Lab. Students explored construction-related careers, learned about opportunities throughout the industry, and participated in a panel discussion with local professionals. The experience offered a firsthand look at the skills, education, and career pathways that help build our communities.

A sincere thank-you to the City of Roseville for its investment in the Roseville Venture Lab and to the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Placer Workforce Development Foundation for helping make these experiences possible. Through this partnership, we’re creating meaningful opportunities for students to explore careers, connect with local employers, and discover their futures right here in Placer County.

Special thanks to our panelists for sharing their time, expertise, and real-world perspectives:

  • Jarod Heath of Greyscale Architecture, Inc.
  • Noah Duncan of Lawson SSP Group
  • Isaac Mendoza of IMC Builders
  • Manuel Fierro, Enrollment Specialist at Sierra College

By connecting classroom learning with hands-on experiences and industry professionals, we’re helping students envision their place in the workforce and building a stronger talent pipeline for our region.

Our Membership Team was busy helping members connect and grow this week, beginning Tuesday with The Pitch Clinic. Created through the Chamber’s Creative Collab Group, the event highlighted our marketing members and gave business owners an opportunity to receive support, feedback, and fresh ideas for their marketing efforts.

With Election Day arriving November 3, the Roseville Area Business Political Action Committee (RABPAC) and Roseville Area Issues Political Action Committee (RAIPAC) are sharing their 2026 Voter Guide to help voters learn about candidates and ballot measures that may affect our regional business community. Members can review the 2026 Voter Guide or find it on the Chamber’s PAC webpage.

An important item on the ballot our business community has an opportunity to support is Proposition 45, the Building an Affordable California Act. Prop. 45 streamlines approval processes for essential projects including housing, roads, water infrastructure, hospitals, and clean energy by establishing clear timelines and reducing costly delays. The measure aims to help lower costs for families, consumers, and businesses while maintaining environmental, worker, and tribal protections and opportunities for public input.

Vote YES on Prop. 45, along with coalition members like CalChamber and California Building Industry Association, to support a more affordable California, a stronger business climate, and the infrastructure our communities need to thrive.
