Chamber Highlights | Week of Mar. 2-6
March 6, 2026
This week, the Chamber celebrated community impact, strengthened member connections, and promoted upcoming opportunities for local leaders to engage and grow.
From honoring truly powerful leaders and organizations in our area, to welcoming new members and advocating for a business friendly region, it was another busy and productive week supporting the business community.
Last Saturday, we had the honor of attending the 60th Anniversary Gala hosted by PRIDE Industries at their Roseville headquarters. The evening celebrated six decades of impact and the organization’s incredible work creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Guests gathered for an inspiring program recognizing leaders in
the disability rights movement, including former U.S. Congressman Tony Coelho, widely known as the father of the Americans with Disabilities Act. It was a powerful reminder of the impact organizations like PRIDE Industries have in building a more inclusive workforce and stronger community.
The Membership Team was busy meeting and connecting with members this week. On Tuesday, 17 members attended the monthly EDG mastermind, facilitated by Brian Gladden of Strategy & Innovation Institute.
We also had the opportunity to attend the Women in Business Leaders Council event at CalChamber on Tuesday. It was a wonderful chance to connect with business leaders from across the region, including several Roseville Area Chamber members who were in attendance.
We especially enjoyed hearing from Chamber member and ambassador Jillian Pinney, Founder and President of Chix Cabinets, who shared her inspiring story of entering the construction industry and successfully growing her business.
It was also great to reconnect with fellow Chamber leaders and a familiar face to many in our community—former Roseville Area Chamber CEO Rana Ghadban.

On Wednesday, I joined FOX40 to highlight the upcoming Ignite Torch Forum, hosted by the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce. This networking and leadership event for young professionals will take place March 9 at Jessup University, beginning at 12:00 PM with networking and lunch. Torch Forum brings together emerging leaders from across Placer County for mentorship, career insights, and meaningful connections with local business and community leaders.
There are still tickets available for purchase HERE, but don't wait—registration will be closing in a matter of hours for this signature event!
The Ambassadors gathered for their monthly meeting on Wednesday to collaborate on how to bring more value to our members, and later that day, the Membership Team welcomed over 50 members at Casa Ramos for the March Happy Hour.

Thursday, they celebrated The NOW Massage with a ribbon cutting
and wrapped up the week welcoming nine new members:
- FULLER Realty Group
- BPS Property Management
- Definitive Financial & Insurance Services
- Trico Painting
- Rick Bartee for Roseville City Council, District 4
- Lior Lux Studio Med Spa
- Viewbility LLC

Your Updates in Advocacy: This week, a broad coalition of business and taxpayer advocates announced the submission of signatures to qualify the Local Taxpayer Protection Act for the November 2026 statewide ballot. The measure is designed to reaffirm voter protections against higher local taxes and ensure greater transparency and accountability before new taxes are imposed.
The coalition — including the California Business Roundtable, California Business Properties Association, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, and California Taxpayers Association — emphasized that the measure is about protecting working families and employers at a time when Californians are already struggling with some of the highest housing, energy, and everyday living costs in the nation.
“This is about reaffirming and restoring the will of the voters when they overwhelmingly passed Prop. 218,” said Rob Lapsley, President of the California Business Roundtable. “Californians have repeatedly voted for transparency and accountability when it comes to taxes. At a time when families and small businesses are squeezed by the highest cost of living in the country, the last thing we need are new and higher local taxes without clear voter approval. The Local Taxpayer Protection Act restores guardrails and ensures taxpayers have the final say.”
Jon Coupal, President of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, said the submission of signatures reflects strong grassroots support across the state. “Taxpayers deserve certainty and fairness. The Local Taxpayer Protection Act protects the integrity of voter-approved tax safeguards and prevents end-runs around longstanding constitutional protections. This is about defending taxpayers and making sure local governments live within their means.”
Robert Gutierrez, President of the California Taxpayers Association, emphasized the importance of fiscal discipline. “California’s cost-of-living crisis is real. Before asking taxpayers for more, government at every level must prioritize accountability and responsible budgeting. This measure reinforces voter intent and ensures that new local taxes meet clear, consistent standards.”
The growing coalition includes campaign co-chairs the California Business Roundtable, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, California Business Properties Association, and the California Taxpayers Association (CalTax).
Coalition leaders said the signature submission marks the beginning — not the end — of their efforts.
“We are organized, united, and ready to take this directly to voters in November,” Lapsley added. “Californians want affordability, transparency, and respect for their vote. We look forward to a robust campaign that makes the case for protecting taxpayers and keeping the cost of living in check.”
If certified, the Local Taxpayer Protection Act will appear on the November 2026 ballot.
