Chamber Highlights | Week Of Mar. 30 - Apr. 3
April 3, 2026
The Chamber kicked off the second quarter of the year with another active week, as members gathered for networking, welcomed new businesses, and looked ahead to opportunities shaping the region’s future.

The Membership team started the new month with their monthly Ambassador Team meeting on Wednesday. Our Ambassadors are a tremendous resource to the Chamber and to our members, helping welcome new businesses and strengthen connections throughout the community.

A few hours later, members gathered for the April Happy Hour at Bennett’s Westside Grill, where professionals had the opportunity to connect, build relationships, and enjoy an evening of networking in a relaxed setting.

On Thursday, the Chamber celebrated one of its newest members with a ribbon cutting for Agara Coffee, welcoming the business to the Roseville community and marking an exciting milestone.
In addition, three new members joined the Chamber this week:
- KH Media Co LLC
- ReForgeHQ–TwinFlame Investments LLC
- Skyrise Aviation
The Chamber also took time to recognize the many businesses that joined or renewed their membership in March. These members represent a wide range of industries and play an important role in strengthening our regional business community. From brand-new members to long-standing partners who continue to invest in the Chamber year after year, we are grateful for their ongoing engagement and support.
In advocacy updates, the Chamber is monitoring AB 2377, which would establish a targeted tax incentive from 2027 through 2032 to encourage manufacturers to invest in California by allowing accelerated depreciation on equipment and machinery.
This is something we are paying attention to as California continues to face challenges in retaining and attracting manufacturing investment due to high operating costs, and AB 2377 is seen as a step toward leveling the playing field by improving cash flow for businesses making significant capital investments.
Key points of this proposal include:
- Allowing businesses to immediately deduct 50% of qualified equipment costs
- Providing enhanced incentives of up to 100% in high-need or economically distressed areas
- Applies to major investments of $1 million or more
- Requiring the equipment to remain in California, helping anchor long-term economic activity.
From the Chamber's perspective, policies like AB 2377 are critical to support job creation, strengthen supply chains, and keep high-quality manufacturing jobs in California. Strategic incentives can help ensure our region remains competitive and continues to attract private investment.
The bill is currently under legislative review, and the Chamber will continue to monitor its progress while advocating for policies that support economic growth, investment, and regional competitiveness.
In community news, Roseville is set to welcome back Union Pacific’s legendary Big Boy
No. 4014, the world’s largest operating steam locomotive, as it rolls into town on its coast-to-coast tour. Built in 1941 and stretching an incredible 133 feet, this massive articulated engine once hauled heavy wartime freight across the West. Now fully restored, it offers a rare chance to experience a true giant of American rail history up close.
The historic train will be on public display April 10 from 1 to 5 p.m. and April 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Looking ahead, early bird tickets for Placer Valley 2026 are available through April 11. Placer Valley is the South Placer region’s premier gathering of business and community leaders, bringing together professionals for a dynamic day of connection, collaboration, and insight. Attendees can explore the trade show, attend engaging sessions, hear from inspiring guest speakers, and enjoy lunch while building meaningful relationships and strengthening our local community.

Community members are also encouraged to nominate outstanding individuals for the Placer Valley 2026 Business Awards, including Young Professional of the Year, Entrepreneur Award, and Business Person of the Year. These awards recognize leaders who make a difference through innovation, leadership, and community impact.
