Chamber Highlights | Week Of Sep. 28 - Oct. 2

rc

October 2, 2026

The Membership Team ended September strong and started October with plenty of activity! From business education and member celebrations to manufacturing workforce development and advocacy, it was another full week at the Roseville Area Chamber.

We kicked things off with our September Business Bootcamp, where 20 local professionals gathered to learn about AEO marketing strategies from Auburn Business Ventures.

We also had the opportunity to celebrate a special milestone with River Valley Community Bank. As the bank celebrates 20 years of service, its Roseville Branch recently marked its first anniversary in our community! Special thanks to Senior Vice President & Market Manager for Roseville Andrew Tagg and Vice Presidents Carol Garcia and Kristen Holihan, all of whom have been active on our Board of Directors and continue to demonstrate their dedication to investing in local business development. Congratulations, and we look forward to many more years of partnership!

We also celebrated Walmart, Scalpology, and Ellie’s Coaching with Ribbon Cuttings this week, recognizing these businesses and the contributions they make to our local business community.

We’re excited to welcome nine new members to the Roseville Chamber:

LuMax Consulting

  • DD Logowear
  • SierraWorks Automation Company
  • Sanctuary
  • Capital Rivers Commercial
  • TAF Insurance Agency
  • NexGen Tax & CFO Advisory
  • Mission Forward Advisors
  • Boston’s Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar

Please join us in giving them a warm welcome!

As we look at the future of our workforce, this week also brought several opportunities to highlight the importance of connecting businesses with the growing local talent.

The Chamber recently joined the Rancho Cordova Area Chamber to share more about the three-year journey behind Capital Careers, a digital platform connecting manufacturing employers with veterans and transitioning service members, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Talent Pipeline Management National Learning Network Summit. The discussion highlighted how employer-led research, employer engagement, market analysis, and pilot testing can be translated into workforce solutions.

Today is also Manufacturing Day in the City of Roseville, making it a great opportunity to showcase the city’s Made in Roseville campaign and the manufacturers helping power Roseville’s economic future. The campaign features local manufacturers and highlights the innovation, technology, and talent behind the products made right here in our community.

Looking toward the future of manufacturing, Roseville High School students also participated in a hands-on Career Exploration Through VR event earlier this week at the Roseville Venture Lab.

Through VR experiences, career research, and group activities, students explored pathways in CNC machining, robotics, industrial maintenance, semiconductor manufacturing, EV battery technology, and more.

We also hosted a panel of local industry leaders who shared their experience and insight with the students, including Sara Lausmann with BOSCH, Aaron Parker with Harris & Bruno, Jamey Shidler and Semhal Siraj with Penumbra, and Roy Ingram with Sierra College. Thank you to all of these professionals for sharing their time and helping inspire our eager future workforce!

On the advocacy front, next week we will host our nonpartisan District 6 Congressional Candidates Forum on October 8 featuring the two candidates who advanced to the general election, Congressman Kevin Kiley and Dr. Richard Pan. Those attending in person have received event location and “know before you go” information, and livestream registration is also available for those who would like to watch remotely.

The Chamber is also sharing information about Proposition 45, a statewide ballot measure on the November 3, 2026, ballot that would modify environmental review procedures for certain projects. According to the California Secretary of State’s official voter guide, Proposition 45 would establish deadlines for environmental review and court challenges for specified projects, including certain housing, transportation, water, health, wildfire mitigation, educational facility, internet access, and clean energy projects. The official guide also includes arguments both supporting and opposing the measure for voters to review.

The Roseville Area Chamber has stated its support for Proposition 45 and is participating in the coalition supporting the measure. We encourage members and community members to review the official voter information and learn more about the measure as they prepare for the November 3 election.
