March 27, 2026

It was another busy and productive week at the Chamber, with opportunities for members to connect, learn, and celebrate milestones across our business community.

The week began Tuesday with the Event Planning Roundtable, where the Membership Team assisted members in sharing ideas, strategies, and best practices for hosting successful events.

That same day, the Chamber celebrated a ribbon cutting for The Tools Vault, marking an exciting milestone for the business and welcoming them further into the local business community.

On Wednesday, members gathered for the Business Bootcamp at the Roseville Venture Lab, featuring Luke Middendorf of Ascentrix Advisory Group. During the session, Middendorf spoke about setting up systems that enable your business to run without you, providing practical insight for business owners looking to strengthen operations and long-term sustainability.

The Chamber also celebrated another exciting milestone with a ribbon cutting for Pickleball Kingdom.

Thursday morning brought more than 120 professionals together for the Chamber Breakfast at Randy Peters Event Center. The morning was filled with energy and collaboration as attendees connected with fellow business and community leaders.

In addition to a full week of programming, the Chamber welcomed six new members:

  • Poms & Associates Risk Control & Insurance
  • Ecolab Pest Elimination
  • Travel Industry
  • StretchLab West Roseville
  • Learning to Thrive
  • Capitol Tech Solutions

We’re excited to continue growing a strong and diverse membership community.

The Chamber is also putting a spotlight on local flavor with the launch of its first-ever Coffee Passport, a new initiative designed to celebrate and support the growing coffee scene across Placer County. Featured on Studio40 Live, Chamber President & CEO Ananda Rochita shared how the program encourages residents and visitors to explore 13 unique coffee businesses throughout the region. The passport experience invites participants to discover new cafés, support small businesses, and engage more deeply with the local community.

The segment also offered a preview of participating locations, including Fourscore Coffee and Placer Roasting Company, where representatives highlighted their passion for craft coffee and community connection. Community members can pick up a copy of the Coffee Passport at the Chamber Office Monday through Friday between 9:00am and 4:00pm, or at the upcoming Chamber Luncheon on April 14th. In advocacy updates this week, SB 981 (Niello) proposes updates to California’s regulatory review process by requiring the State Air Resources Board (CARB) to more explicitly evaluate how major regulations affect the cost of living for Californians. Under existing law, agencies must already prepare a standardized regulatory impact analysis that considers economic effects such as jobs, business competitiveness, and public health benefits.

This bill expands those requirements by directing CARB to assess specific cost pressures affecting residents and businesses, including gasoline and transportation costs, electricity bills, housing and construction costs, and the price of consumer goods and food.

By expanding the scope of analysis, SB 981 aims to provide policymakers and the public with a clearer picture of how air quality and climate regulations may influence household affordability and overall cost of living in California.

The bill was heard in its first committee on March 18 and failed to pass but was granted reconsideration and returned to its original position.

Looking ahead, the Roseville Area Business PAC will host a fundraiser on April 16 at Bennett’s Westside Grill in Rocklin from 5–7PM. The event will bring together members, elected officials, and community partners for an evening of great food, conversation, and community while supporting the Chamber’s ongoing advocacy efforts. It’s an opportunity to connect with local leaders, engage on issues that matter to the business community, and help build momentum for the year ahead.
